Open Access Policy
The International Journal of Cyber Law (IJCL) is an open access journal committed to providing immediate and unrestricted access to its published scholarly research. All published articles are freely available online to readers without subscription, registration, or payment requirements.
This Policy is consistent with the definition of open access set out in the Budapest Open Access Initiative, namely free availability on the public internet, permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.
A. Immediate Open Access
IJCL provides immediate open access to the full text of all articles upon publication. No embargo period is applied to published articles.
Readers may access, read, download, and share published articles without payment or subscription barriers, subject to the terms of the applicable license.
B. Creative Commons License
Articles published by IJCL are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
The CC BY 4.0 license permits the sharing and adaptation of published material, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given and the applicable license conditions are satisfied.
The detailed terms governing permitted use and attribution are provided in the Journal’s separate License Policy.
C. Author Rights
Authors retain the rights provided to them under the Journal’s Copyright Policy and may exercise the rights granted under the applicable Creative Commons license.
Authors may also deposit the published version of their articles in accordance with the Journal’s Repository Policy.
D. Access to Published Content
All published articles are made freely available through the Journal’s official online publishing platform. Readers are not required to pay a subscription or access fee to view or download published articles.
Open access applies to the published content made available by IJLP and is not conditional upon membership of the Journal or any other organization.
E. Publication Charges
Any fees or charges applicable to authors are governed by the Journal’s Price Policy.
Open access to published articles is not conditional upon the payment of a subscription or access fee by readers.
F. Long-Term Accessibility
IJCL supports the continued accessibility of its published articles through its digital preservation arrangements. The Journal’s specific arrangements for digital preservation are set out in its separate Archiving Policy.
G. Policy Application
This Open Access Policy should be read together with the Journal’s License Policy, Copyright Policy, Repository Policy, Archiving Policy, and Price Policy.
IJCL may periodically review this Policy to ensure that its open access practices remain consistent with developments in scholarly publishing and applicable open access standards.
