The International Journal of Cyber Law (IJCL) publishes its articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
The CC BY 4.0 license permits users to use, share, and adapt the published material, including for commercial purposes, provided that the applicable license conditions are satisfied.
This License governs the terms on which published articles may be used, shared, and adapted by third parties. Matters concerning the retention of copyright by authors are addressed separately in the Journal’s Copyright Policy.
A. Permitted Uses
Under the CC BY 4.0 license, users are permitted to:
Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes.
These permissions cannot be revoked by the licensor as long as the license terms are followed.
B. Attribution Requirements
Users exercising rights under the CC BY 4.0 license must provide appropriate attribution. Attribution should:
- Identify the title of the published article;
- Identify the original author or authors;
- Identify the international journal of Cyber Law (IJCL) as the original publication source;
- Provide a link to the published article or its DOI, where available;
- Provide a link to the CC BY 4.0 license; and
- Indicate whether changes were made to the original material.
Attribution must be provided in a reasonable manner and must not suggest that the original author, IJLP, or IRSHAD JOURNALS endorses the user or the user’s use of the material.
C. No Additional Restrictions
Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from exercising the rights granted by the CC BY 4.0 license.
D. Third-Party Material
The CC BY 4.0 license applies to material for which the relevant licensing rights are held by the author or publisher. Material identified as being subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions may not be covered by the CC BY 4.0 license.
Users are responsible for determining whether separate permission is required for the use of third-party material.
E. License Information
The full terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) can be accessed through official Creative Commons CC BY 4.0. Any subsequent change to the Journal’s default licensing terms shall apply only to articles published after the effective date of that change and shall not affect the license under which any previously published article was released.
Nothing in this License affects any moral rights an author may hold under applicable law, including the right of attribution and the right to object to derogatory treatment of the work; to the extent such rights are not waived or are not waivable under the applicable jurisdiction.
